An unidentified woman from Kabutare Village in Huye District was seen in a video on Twitter slapping her unnamed husband, who was sitting on the ground in the dust and apologizing to her.

Pictures released by the Annonciata Byukusenge, show a young woman hitting her husband on the street who in turn was crying.
"Let me apologize, my God !!!!." The woman continued to slap him on the head and mouth begging him to keep quiet, "So get up and go home."
A number of them were seen lying on the ground, while one of the slogans said, "Shut up!"

Rwanda Investigation Bureau has indicated that it is going to follow up on the matter. "Thank you very much Byukusenge, thank you for pointing out this issue. This information is going to the Huye district Investigators to follow up on the incident," it said on Twitter.
The annual report of the National Institute of Statistics, NISR, for 2020, shows that between 2016 and 2019, 7,210 men were abused nationwide.
The report shows that the severity of these crimes is declining because as of 2018, the number of abused men was 2,015 while in the following year it reached 998.
The number of new victims of sexual violence left 6,133, while the number of victims of sexual violence is 1097.
