It was on Friday, August 20, that the Kenya Court of Appeals overturned an appeal over a BBI joint project by President Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila Odinga.

It was only in May this year that the Kenyan High Court ruled that the government’s draft constitutional amendment was improper and unconstitutional.

It was also alleged at the time that President Uhuru Kenyatta had violated the constitution by initiating something else that was to be out of the public interest.

The draft amendment to the constitution, popularly known as the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI), included the extension of members of the government and the legislature.

The changes proposed by the BBI include the creation of an out-of-office office of the Prime Minister of Kenya, the creation of 70 new constituencies, and the allocation of forgotten seats that could create 300 new seats for MPs.

After the Supreme Court of Appeals ruled in favor of the BBI project, William Ruto used his Twitter account to criticize those behind it.

"Our heavenly Father, God, has shown for Kenya that he is blocking the forum of the well-known, the powerful and the giants in destroying our Constitution. ours from the ground up. "

Dr William Ruto is given a chance to win the 2023 Kenyan presidential election, he and his supporters said, adding that the BBI aims to give seats to the most powerful politicians, making the government and parliament a majority and Kenya a debt-ridden country. unable to pay for it.

Uhuru Kenyatta and Raila Odinga were behind the change, which they said would end with the fact that the ‘winner carries everything’ in politics, often followed by a heated debate.

Raila Odinga said on his Twitter account that the decision of the Court of Appeal had not finalized the discussions on the BBI, so that the stakeholders involved in the project would make a decision, only to say that he felt they should continue to move forward.
