Barore Cléophas was appointed RBA chief executive
Barore Cléophas who was previously a journalist of the National Press Agency (RBA) was appointed its Director, Arthur Asiimwe who was already in this position was appointed Deputy Director General at the Embassy of Rwanda in the United States of America.
These changes in the leadership of the National Press Office were announced on Thursday, December 14, 2023, through a statement from the Office of the Prime Minister.
Barore Cléophas was appointed as the RBA's CEO after a short period of time as an advisor to Arthur Asiimwe who headed it.
This man is one of the most popular journalists due to the skills he has shown in reading newspapers in the program 'What's the news in the newspapers?' on Radio Rwanda every Wednesday, as well as the way he conducts programs on Radio and Television Rwanda.
Barore is currently the Director of the Media Control Unit, RMC. He was elected to this position on December 9, 2016 in a General Assembly that brought together members including 283 journalists and media executives. He replaced Muvunyi Fred who left the country in May 2015.
Arthur Asiimwe has been at the helm of the RBA for 10 years since he came to this position in 2013. This Cabinet appointed him as Deputy Ambassador to the United States of America.
