DRC: President Felix Tshisekedi has deployed special forces across the country
President Felix Tshisekedi has deployed special forces across the country, particularly in areas dominated by supporters of opposition candidates.
All opposition candidates have called for this year's election to be cancelled.
President Félix Tshisekedi continues to be the top, both among voters outside of Congo and within the country.
Out of 1,029,616 million voters from the diaspora of 5 major countries and voters in 22 regions of the country, Félix Tshisekedi has 850,684 votes or 82.60%.
Moïse Katumbi Chapwe came in second place with 147,053 votes or 14.30%, the surprise is Radjabho Tebabho Soborabo, president of the "Congolais unis pour le changement" (CUC) party with 9,263 votes or 0.90% while Martin Fayulu He finished this round with 7965 votes or 0.80%.
The 22 sections resulting from these provisional votes are:
• Bikoro, Makanza (Ecuador)
• Wamba and Isiro Ville (Haut Uele)
• Mambasa and Bunia Ville (Ituri)
• Luebo and Mweka (Kasaï)
• Luiza and Kananga (Central Kasaï)
• Miabi and Lupatapata (East Kasaï)
• Madimba and Luozi (Central Congo)
• Less (No)
• Idiofa (Kwilu)
• Kabinda and Ngandangika (Lomami)
• Mitaba and Kasenga (Upper Katanga)
• Malemba Nkulu and Kabongo (Upper Lomami)
This Commission also announced that except for the Kenge area in Kwango Province, Martin Fayulu won with 57.9% of the votes, and Tshisekedi is ahead everywhere else.
CENI announced that the counting of votes is still ongoing.
