A Rwandan military spokesman, Col. Ronald Rwivanga has revealed that four Rwandan soldiers were killed in a clash between terrorists in Cabo Delgado Province, Mozambique, when at least 100 terrorists were killed.

It was in an interview with BBC correspondent Anne Soy, who was accompanied by other journalists recently toured in the province of Cabo Delgado, where they were shown areas released from terrorists.

Since Rwanda deployed its troops to the province, four soldiers have been killed in the fighting, according to an RDF spokesman, while panic has gripped large parts of the province since 2017 after being evacuated. which had taken place including what is considered to be the main base in the town of Mocimboa da praia.

Col. Ronald Rwivanga, speaking to Anne Soy, said: "The enemy has lost more than 100 people, those are the ones we have seen with our eyes but there are also bodies that have fled so we do not know the exact number of those who have been killed."

"Unfortunately, we have lost four on our side since its inception," he said.

On the Mozambique side, however, its military has not yet announced the number of troops killed in the fighting.

A spokesman for the Rwandan Armed Forces also said that the situation in Cabo Delgado was not over yet and that the time had not yet come.
